Great article! In the last couple of years, I’ve read several pieces about Fiverr. They tend to soon descend into finger-pointing. Some blame the freelancers — as if the third-world didn’t exist and as if poverty were an illusion. Others blame the clients. Above all, I’d blame the platform and a business culture that relies on unrealistic promises and vulnerable workers.
